A place to grow and belong

Bloom is a bilingual community in Oviedo for people who live in Asturias, whether you were born here or arrived last year. Circles, conversation, coaching and classes in Spanish and English, so that living side by side becomes living together.

NEW TO ASTURIAS

Top-down view of five hands holding cups of coffee with latte art, forming a circle on a wooden table, with a glass of dark soda and a spoon nearby.
A rustic wooden table holding a white notebook with blank lined pages, a wooden pencil, sprigs of lavender, a small glass candle, a potted succulent plant in a black and white patterned pot, scattered coffee beans, and a cup of coffee with foam.

Bienestar, creatividad, y comunidad.

Coaching de bienestar, clases de inglés centradas en la persona, talleres creativos y espacios de encuentro para quienes quieren crecer con intención y rodearse de una comunidad real.

Two languages, one community.

People who arrive from elsewhere often end up among each other. Local life can be hard to step into. Bloom sits in between: a place where Asturians practise English, internationals practise Spanish, and everyone practises listening. Belonging grows in both directions.

PARA PERSONAS VIVIENDO EN ASTURIAS

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are not a service.
We are a living ecosystem.

Bloom began from a simple belief: that growing into a new chapter of life, or a new place, should not feel lonely.

We work slowly, relationally and personally. We create spaces where people from different places meet as neighbours, not as categories.

Our work is grounded in wellbeing science, creative practice and many years of living between cultures. This is not a directory of services. It is a relationship.

Wellbeing

Evidence-based coaching, somatic awareness, and practical tools for navigating change with steadiness.

Creativity

Workshops, writing circles, and collaborative practice. Creativity is how we make meaning, not just things.

Community

Brunches, circles, coworking and conversation, in Spanish, in English, and somewhere in between.

Language

Spanish for internationals, English for locals. Language as a bridge, in both directions.

WHAT WE OFFER

Inglés con Bienestar

Clases de inglés para personas de aquí que quieren ganar confianza, abrir puertas profesionales y conectar con el mundo. Sin presión, en grupos pequeños o individuales. Con el bienestar en el centro de la sesión.

Spanish for real life

Classes for expats who need Spanish that actually works, at the doctor’s, the notary, the neighbour’s door. Taught with warmth and real life context.

Community & Events

Monthly brunches, seasonal workshops, co-working sessions, and a newsletter that keeps you connected. Belonging is something we practice together, regularly.

Wellbeing Coaching

One-to-one sessions based on science and positive psychology, values work, and creative work. For expats navigating change and for those ready to grow.

FROM OUR COMMUNITY

What belonging feels like.

"What started as a brunch invitation became the doorway to friendship, laughter, and belonging. Now, instead of feeling like an outsider, I feel part of something real."

Sara K. — Writer

"Thanks to Bloom, I finally stopped dreading Spanish paperwork. With their guidance, everything started making sense — and I even learned some Spanish along the way."

Daniela R. — Lawyer

"Coaching with Bloom has become a self-care practice for me."

Julia H. — Artist

"Through Bloom's coaching and the community's encouragement, I finally found the clarity and courage to take the leap. What once felt impossible now feels natural."

Liz L. — Farmer

WHO WE ARE

Black and white illustration of a woman's face with shoulder-length hair, smiling.

CELESTE

An expat for two thirds of her life, Celeste is a Wellbeing and Creativity Coach. She knows what it means to rebuild identity, purpose and community from scratch, and brings that depth into every session and every process.

JORGE

Spanish, but an expat twice over. Jorge understands Spain from the inside and the outside. He teaches Spanish with warmth and precision, and builds bridges between people who might not otherwise meet.

AMY

A social worker by training and Bloom's English teacher. Amy has lived through several international moves and understands the inner side of change, the part no one talks about. She brings that care to every class and conversation.

COMMUNITY AND EVENTS

Where belonging becomes real.

Community at Bloom isn't a feature, it's the whole point. We host regular gatherings where locals and internationals meet, talk and get to know each other, in Spanish, in English, or both. No agenda, no networking pressure. Just good company and good conversation.

Monthly Brunch Circle

A relaxed gathering for expats in and around Oviedo. Good food, real conversations, and introductions that actually stick.

Events & Workshops

Seasonal half-day sessions, workshops in cafes, in a small, intimate group, exploring creativity, navigating change, building routines abroad and more.

Co-working Mornings

Quiet, focused work in good company, by invitation. Ask us if you'd like to join.
