BLOOM SOFT-LANDING IN ASTURIAS

Arrive. Breathe. Belong.

Moving to a new country is not just a logistical decision. It is an emotional, linguistic, and relational transition.

Bloom exists to support people who are relocating to Asturias, especially Oviedo, and who want more than efficiency. We help you arrive humanly, with clarity, care, and a sense of belonging.

We combine practical support with language, coaching, wellbeing, and community, so that your life here doesn’t just function, but flourishes.

WHAT MAKES BLOOM DIFFERENT

We are not a relocation agency. We are not a real estate company. We are not a concierge service.

Bloom is a soft-landing ecosystem.

We work slowly, relationally, and personally. We explain how things work, we help you feel oriented, and we walk alongside you while you find your footing, practically and emotionally.

You can come to Bloom for one specific need, or you can stay and grow into the wider community.

OUR SOFT LANDING PATHWAY

1. Finding a Home

Clarity, guidance, and protection, especially from abroad

We support you in navigating the rental market in Oviedo and Asturias when you don’t speak Spanish, don’t know the neighbourhoods, or are searching from another country.

This includes:

  • Orientation and neighbourhood guidance

  • Rental market explanation (what is normal, what is not)

  • Active flat search and screening

  • Communication with landlords in Spanish

  • Viewing support (in person or remote)

  • Contract explanation in plain English

We do not promise the perfect apartment. We promise clarity, honesty, and reduced stress.

2. Bureaucracy, Explained

Understanding how things work, without overwhelm

Spain has its own rhythms, rules, and paperwork culture.

We help you understand:

  • Empadronamiento

  • How the healthcare system works

  • The logic of NIE / TIE, registrations, and appointments

  • What can be done online, and what cannot

We guide and explain, we do not replace lawyers or official services.

3. Spanish as Belonging and Identity

Spanish for real life, not for perfection

Language is one of the biggest barriers to feeling at home in our new place and in our own skin.

Bloom offers Spanish learning that is:

  • Practical and contextual

  • Linked to your daily life

  • Gentle and confidence-building

  • Focused on communication, not performance

Language becomes a bridge into community, not a test you need to pass.

4. Coaching for Transition

Because moving countries changes who you are

Relocation often brings questions:

  • Who am I here?

  • How do I rebuild rhythm and purpose?

  • What do I want this chapter to look like?

Bloom offers coaching and reflection spaces to support:

  • Life transitions

  • Identity shifts

  • Decision-making

  • Creative and professional reorientation

This work is slow, respectful, and deeply human.

5. Community & Wellbeing

You don’t integrate alone. Bloom is also a living community.

We create spaces for:

  • Shared meals and brunch circles

  • Walks and conversations

  • Creative workshops

  • Reflection and wellbeing practices

  • Co-working days

Belonging is not something you achieve. It is something you co-create.

HOW TO WORK WITH US

You can:

  • Come for one specific service (for example, home search support)

  • Combine practical support with language or coaching

  • Join our community spaces over time

We work with a small number of people at once, so that the work stays personal and grounded.

Who We Are

    • Wellbeing before efficiency

    • Clarity instead of overwhelm

    • Human rhythm over constant urgency

    • Language as connection

    • Community as nourishment

  • We’re Celeste, Amy and Jorge — a small team of coaches, creatives, teachers and long-term expats who know exactly what it feels like to arrive in a beautiful new place… and still feel a little unrooted.

Between us, we’ve lived in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Canada, the UK, France, and Spain.
Each of us knows firsthand what it’s like to:

    • start from zero,

    • find a home,

    • navigate bureaucracy in a new language,

    • make friends from scratch,

    • lose parts of your identity (and find new ones),

    • and slowly, gently, create a sense of home again.

Amy is a Social Worker, Educator, Communicator and fellow expat. She has navigated several international moves and understands the emotional ups and downs of making a new place home, especially the part no one talks about: the transition inside yourself.

Celeste has been an expat in different countries for two thirds of her life. She is a Wellbeing and Creativity Coach, Educator and Facilitator. She knows what it’s like to rebuild identity, purpose and community in a new country, and she brings that experience into every coaching and creative session she leads.

And then there’s Jorge, Spanish, but also an expat twice over. He understands Spain deeply, but also knows what it means to arrive as an outsider. He bridges the gap between cultures in a way that feels grounding, human and real.

Bloom Expats was born from our own stories , the messy, hopeful, sometimes lonely process of building a life abroad. We’ve lived the challenges you’re facing now, and we’ve learned that the antidote to isolation is creativity, community and wellbeing. Not networking. Not “quick fixes.” Just real connection and meaningful experiences shared with people who understand.

Most importantly, we believe this: You don’t have to do any of this alone.
